Finding Balance in Paint

Through each painting I create a small revelation of technique is reveled to me.

Some so small I can hardly verbalise them, and can only show through natural instinct, while others are such blatant lessons It's obvious to the laxest of viewers.

Each lesson brings me closer to becoming a well-rounded painter.

This painting in particular has lots to teach me.

The biggest thing I'm tackling is blending the harsh ultra stylized rocks with the soft

watercolor-esk lizard. A balanced look is harder to achieve than I had previously thought.

It's a technique I'm grappling with, but I'm enjoying the learning process.
