"Where have I been?"
That's what's been running through my head for the past 14 days.
Well... Paris, and parts of France, also Washington, Oregon, Wyoming, Colorado a bit of New Mexico and lastly, Texas. Wait, what?
On the 21st of June I left for a two week trip to see Paris and the country side.
and most importantly ..REAL.
I really went, I really breathed that sweet sweet french country air. I really walked side by side with business men in smart suits. I really sat at a cafe with a cafe creme in my hand and a pain de chocolate on my plate. I really did it. It was real.
The distinguished apartments, the granite paved streets, the fashion houses, the seine.. I walked the Seine. I was there and I, after 13 days am still absorbing it, letting it sink in so it'll never fly away.
Now, I'm in Texas, which in it's on right should be it's own country. I've been living here for 9 days, and We're looking for a house to buy. Yes, I went from the northwest, to Paris, straight to Texas.
As you can imagine the culture shock, and jet lag took awhile to wear off.
In fact, starting a new life is another shock I can toss onto this whirl wind of a list.
I haven't forgotten this blog, I've just been busy trying to figure out where I am in the world (geographically speaking), what I'm going to do next (literally speaking) and what Texas has to offer.
I have a lot to share about my trip with all of you, but, right now I think I'm just going to take a few more days to soak it all in.
