Today we went walking in a forest, of sorts. The gentle rolling landscape and mix of slender saplings and weathered oaks just begged to be painted. So, I grabbed my sister and her obliging friend and told them "I need reference photos, go walk in circles over there-ish.". For a full 20 minutes they spun in circles, stood, hiked, crouched and climbed trees within a 20 foot radius looking sorta silly. They're awesome. Now, I've sketch a few of my favorite photos, and I'm happy with the feel. It reminds me of Calvin and Hobbes in a way, so how can I go wrong?
