Since my trip to France last summer I've been trying to figure out how best to use art to "memorialize" it. I have no desire to paint a picture of it. The very thought of a "cute little bistro" sends my artistic taste down a roller coaster of been-there-done-that-cheapness. So I've decided to go all 5th grade old science project on it! I'm making a Light Up Shadow Box using bits of ticket stubs and old Paris maps to decorate it. I always enjoyed creating these little worlds in school.
My concept sketch..
Some old wrapping paper, I love the pattern!
Finally, the cigar box, bubble lights and center piece.. a mini Eiffel Tower!
Stay Artsy & DFTBA
