Snugly Polar Bear

So.. when I was little my Dad used to read to my sister and I the old  A. A. Milne Winnie the Pooh books. I remember cuddling up before bed time, eager to hear my father's different character voices. He really went all out! I guess this drawing comes from those early memories. My dad being a big 'ol snugly bear, and my sister and I falling asleep next to him.

In the on-coming painting of this, I'll work on the sleeping girl figure, but the bear will be as close to this as I can manage. Sometimes the first try is the best!  The bear will be a polar bear, not quiet Winnie the Pooh, but I believe the white fur will set off the wildflowers they're sleeping in.

Life truly is the greatest inspiration.
